Katalin Szende elected to Board of The International Committee of Historical Sciences
Katalin Szende, former fellow of the KFG and a long-standing supporter of the research group, was elected to the board of The International Committee of Historical Sciences (CISH). She is a professor of Medieval Studies at Central European University (Vienna/Budapest) with a wide-ranging research expertise on medieval central European history. CISH is the broadest global association of historical scholarship, created in 1926 in order to promote the historical sciences through international co-operation. It is governed by a President and a Board of ten members.
The new Board was officially presented at the 23rd World Congress of History in Poznan in August 2022. The members will remain in office until 2026, working on organising events and implementing CISH policies.
