New Publication: Envisioning the Indian City
Our former fellow Supriya Chaudhuri has just published a new book entitled “Envisioning the Indian City: Spaces of Encounter in Goa, Calcutta, Pondicherry and Chandigarh“. The volume was published with Jadavpur University Press. During her most recent stay in Erfurt, Surpriya, Professor Emerita at Kolkata’s Jadavpur University, worked on her project “Space, Community, Practice: Urban Imaginaries and Religion in the Modern Indian City“. She has published an article on “Spaces of the Sacred: Religious Practice in Urban Interstices” in the KFG’s online database “Religion and Urbanity Online” and contributed numerous conference papers to events organized by the KFG.
