Public Lecture Series: “Religion and Urbanity across Time and Space”
The Centre for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (Kollegforschungsgruppe, KFG) “Religion and Urbanity: Reciprocal Formations” at the University of Erfurt invites you to a lecture series in the winter semester 2020/21 under the title “Religion and Urbanity across Time and Space”.
The lectures begin on 17 November and take place on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the campus of the University of Erfurt, in lecture hall 2 (KIZ). Since the number of visitors is limited due to Corona, participation in the events will also be possible online.
The first talk (in German) is by Jörg Rüpke, one of the spokespersons of the KFG, and on “Wie Religionen sich in Städten verändern“. He will discuss the reciprocal influence of religion and urbanity and sketch some of the key themes of the KFG and its research agenda.
